Father and Son Dispute Ends in Murder

Los Angeles: On March 2, 2007, at about 5:00 p.m., Los Angeles Police officers from the West Los Angeles Division responded to a radio call of "Ambulance ADW, Shots Fired" at the 9100 block of Larke Ellen Circle. When officers arrived at the home they saw the suspect, Carl Chapman exiting the home yelling for help. Carl Chapman was taken into custody in the front yard of the home.

Officers entered the home and found the body of 32- year-old, Brian Chapman with several gun-shot wounds. Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead.

Brian Chapman is the son of the suspect Carl Chapman. Carl Chapman was interviewed and booked for Murder. At this time the motive for the shooting is unclear.
