Attempt Murder Suspects Sought NR11117gb

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Olympic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect vehicle whose image was caught on surveillance video during a shooting in the mid-town area of Los Angeles.  

On March 9, 2011, at around 3:30 p.m., two suspects walked up to the male victim in his 20’s and shot him multiples times in the 1700 block of South Ardmore Avenue.  The suspects then ran into an awaiting 90-95 Ford Mustang, white with flame designs on the doors. There were two additional suspects waiting inside the vehicle.  The victim was injured from the shooting but injuries were not life threatening.

The two suspects who did the shooting are described as Hispanic men in their 16 to 20’s stand about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weigh around 140 to 160 pounds.  They were last seen wearing dark colored baseball caps.  The two suspects who were waiting in the Ford Mustang are described as Male Hispanics, 20 to 25 years old with spiky hair.  Detectives are trying to understand what prompted the shooting.
