Naked Preschool Burglar Captured on Surveillance Video NR11118rf

March 22, 2011 On March 22, 2011, at about 10:30 a.m., Hollenbeck Burglary Detectives arrested a 15-year-old male Juvenile who had twice broken into the "Centro De Alegria" Pre-School located at 420 North Soto Street in the Boyle Heights area of the city.   Detectives were contacted by a Boyle Heights resident who had seen televised news coverage of the crime. The citizen was able to provide detectives with information that helped them positively identify the subject, leading to the arrest.   The Subject was booked into Eastlake Juvenile Hall for Burglary and is being held without bail.

Suspect Walks Around and Displays Sexual Behavior

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who has twice broken into a preschool in the 400 block of North Soto Street and whose image was caught on surveillance video.

On November 14, 2010, at about 8 p.m., and again on March 6, 2011, at about 3 p.m., the suspect forced his way into the "Centro De Alegria" Pre-School in the Boyle Heights Area of the City. Once inside the suspect ransacked the school, looking for items of value and leaving with various items of property including money and keys.

After committing the burglary, but before leaving the school, the suspect can be seen taking off his clothing, masturbating and engaging in strange sexual behavior while parading around the lobby.

The suspect’s behavior is cause for concern and there is a sense of urgency to get him positively identified and taken into custody.
