Titikorn Punthongsawasdi (also known as Pea-Rag) was located in the Valley area yesterday evening. He is safe and back with his family.

Los Angeles:  The family of Titikorn Punthongsawasdi, (also known as Pea-Rag), and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s help to find Titikorn.

On  March 17, 2011 at approximately 1:40 p.m., Titikorn was with his father at the Metro Redline Station at Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue. While the father was purchasing tickets Titikorn wondered off and got on a Redline train going northbound. The father immediately notified the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, Metro Police.

A review of the Metro Line video surveillance system identified Titikorn getting on the northbound train, but he was not captured exiting the train.  A search of the train did not yield any clues to Titikorn’s whereabouts.  Titikorn has a diagnosis of Downs Syndrome with the mental capacity of an 8-year- old child.  His family is very worried about his well being because Titikorn does not speak English and he did not have identification with him.  He lives in the 1600 block of North Hobart Street in Hollywood.

Titikorn is a 36-year-old male Thai, black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall, and weighs about 190 pounds. He was wearing a brown hat, white shirt with motorcycle design, gray sweater, sweat pants and New Balance shoes and has a scar on the left side of his head.  Titikorn goes by the nickname of Pea-Rag.

Anyone who may have seen Titikorn, or who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call Hollywood Area Detectives, Officer Marcus St Clair at 213-485-4328.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7.  Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.  All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.”  Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts.
