37-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Collision NR13062ne

Los Angeles:  On Friday, March 1, 2013, around 7:30 a.m., Valley Traffic Division officers were called to investigate a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Roscoe Boulevard, at Yarmouth Avenue, in the community of Northridge.

The preliminary investigation shows the collision occurred when 37-year-old Francisco Juarez was driving a 2006 Ford van westbound on Roscoe Boulevard.  Juarez attempted to make a left turn to southbound Yarmouth Avenue and crossed into the path of Jerramy Barrios’ 2003 Suzuki motorcycle that was traveling eastbound on Roscoe Boulevard.  The collision that followed critically injured Barrios.

Los Angeles City Fire paramedics transported Barrios to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  Jerramy Barrios was a 37-year-old resident of Reseda.  Juares was not injured in the collision.
