CHILD ABDUCTION SUSPECTS ARRESTED

Updated:  On March 30, 2014, around 10:30 a.m., child abduction suspect Rosa Chairez contacted Hollenbeck Area Detectives and advised them that she and suspect Enrique Felix were at the U.S. Mexican Otay Mesa border, willing to surrender themselves to authorities in connection with the “Child Abduction” charges against them.

Based on the outstanding warrants related to this investigation, the suspects were detained by U.S. Border Patrol Agents.  Felix and Chairez were transported to the Hollenbeck Area, where they are currently in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating four children that were taken by their parents.  The Department of Children and Family Services removed the children from their biological parents and placed them in protective custody of their maternal grandmother.

On Friday March 14, 2014, around 12:30 p.m., the mother, Rosa Chairez, and the father, Enrique Felix, went to the home of the maternal grandmother of their four children.  The parents were ordered to stay away from their children and were to only have supervised visitation in the presence of their DCFS worker at the DCFS office.  Chairez and Felix were also to stay away from their children at all times with the exception of their scheduled visitation at DCFS.  Enrique Felix is reported to be physically violent towards Rosa Chairez and their children.

The father was last seen driving away with Chairez and their four children in the 1400 block of North Indiana Street.  He was last seen driving a newer dark or black colored PT Cruiser, which was missing the right rear hubcap, with white paper plates with black lettering.  28-Year-old Enrique Felix is described as a male Hispanic with black hair, brown eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds.

Rosa Chairez is described as a female Hispanic with red hair and brown eyes standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds.

The Los Angeles Police Department needs the public’s help to locate the following children who were taken:

1-year-old twin Janet Felix, female Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 2 feet tall, approximately 20 pounds.
1-year-old twin Veronica Felix, female Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 2 feet tall, approximately 20 pounds.
5-year-old Justin Felix, male Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 3 feet tall approximately 50 pounds.
7-year-old Enrique Felix, male Hispanic, brown hair, brown eyes, 3 feet tall approximately 70 pounds.
