North Hollywood: Shoplift turns into one victim being critically injured and the second victim being murdered.

On March 25, 2016 at around 9:00 am., hours North Hollywood uniformed patrol officers responded to a radio call of an, “Ambulance ADW stabbing,” in the 5300 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard. Upon arrival they observed two victims on the ground who had suffered multiple stab wounds.

During the investigation officers discovered the suspect had entered a local store, removed items and left without paying for the items. Both victims followed the suspect outside and attempted to retrieve the stolen items from him. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed both victims and fled westbound from the location.

The responding officers located and arrested the suspect a few blocks away from the location.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded and transported both victims to a local hospital. The male victim later died from his injuries and the female victim is in critical condition.

The identity of the male victim is being withheld pending notification of his family.
