Man Shot to Death in McDonald's Parking Lot

"Man Shot to Death in Mc Donald's Parking Lot"

Los Angeles - On Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Victim, Corinthian Lavenice Diggs, male African American, 29 years of age was shot to death while walking in the Mc Donald's lot located on the 100 block of West Manchester Avenue, Los Angeles. An unknown suspect approached on a dark colored bicycle and fired several rounds at the victim. The victim was struck in the upper torso and ran to the Auto Zone store located at the 200 block of West Manchester and collapsed inside the store. The suspect rode away on his bicycle southbound on Main Street.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported the victim to Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.

The suspect and the weapon are still outstanding at this time. Anyone with information regarding this crime is urged to contact 77TH Street Homicide Detectives at 213-485-1383 or the Watch Commander at 213-485-2389.
