UPDATE

According to Mission Area detectives, today, at around 8:50 p.m., Tomas Garcia was found in LAPD’s Wilshire area.

Los Angeles:  The family of Tomas Garcia and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Garcia, who has been missing since this afternoon.

Today, at around 12:45 p.m., Garcia was last seen having lunch at Shakey’s restaurant in the 13700 block of Foothill Boulevard in LAPD’s Mission Area.  Since that time, he has not returned home or has not been in contact with his family.  Garcia’s family is concerned about his mental state and fear for his safety.  Garcia is a resident of Valencia and in the past, he was located in the 200 block of South Parkview Street in the city of Los Angeles.
 
Garcia is described as a male Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes.  He stands about 5 feet 6 inches and weighs approximately 150 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue pants.
