June 28, 2012

Los Angeles:   Los Angeles Police Department Mission Homicide Detectives are asking for the publics’ help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of suspect(s) who shot two separate victims.

On Tuesday, June 26, 2012, around 10:48 p.m., Mission Area officers responded to a shooting call in the 8100 block of Sepulveda Place in Panorama City.  A 29-year-old male victim had been standing on the sidewalk when he was approached by an unknown suspect and shot.  The victim was transported to a local hospital where he has been listed in critical condition.

Detectives believe a suspect then approached a 31-year-old victim who was also standing on the sidewalk near the first victim. The suspect then shot the second victim in the torso with an unknown type of handgun.  The second victim drove himself to another local hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound and minor injuries and then released.

Detectives are working with limited information and there is no solid suspect information at this time.  The motive for this crime is unknown.
