Los Angeles Police Department Recruit Officer Graduation Ceremony ~ Class 4-09

WHO:   
LAPD Chief William J. Bratton
Representatives from the Mayor’s Office of the City of Los Angeles
Representatives from the LAPD Board of Commissioners
LAPD Command Staff and Special Guests

WHY:   
The LAPD will graduate 53 police officers, with 45 males and 8 females.  The ethnic breakdown of the class is as follows: 16 Caucasians, 27 Hispanics, 5 African Americans, one Filipino and four other Asians.  Graduating officers have completed 920 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.  Among the graduates are one Los Angeles World Airports officer and one from General Services Police.
