On Friday, December 30, 2016 around 8:35 p.m. Van Nuys officers responded to the 4200 block of Levitt Lane in the City of Los Angeles for a burglary radio call. When the officers arrived they found that the suspects had smashed a glass pane on a rear door and reached in to unlock the door. The suspects went through the house and stole handguns, currency, small electronics, and jewelry. The suspects used one of the victim's pillow cases to carry the stolen property. The suspects fled through the rear door and met up with a third suspect that was waiting in a dark colored Sports Utility Vehicle.

Surveillance video cameras captured both suspects walking up the driveway. Video footage also shows the suspects inside the residence.
