Man, Shot to Death NR17257ml

Monterey Hills: Los Angeles Police Department Hollenbeck Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 45-year-old man. Detectives are asking for the public's help in providing any information that would assist with the investigation.

The shooting was reported on Thursday, September 7, 2017, around 8:45 p.m., in the 5300 block of Monterey Road in Los Angeles.

The victim is identified as Damien Blakely 45-years-old, of Los Angeles.

The victim was standing in the street when he was shot by unidentified suspect.

The victim died at the scene and homicide detectives are investigating the shooting as being gang-related.
