Shooting Leaves a Man Dead NR17261im

Harvard Heights: The Los Angeles Police Department's West Bureau Homicide Detectives are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the death of a man.
On September 10, 2017, around 10:15 p.m., Olympic Area patrol officers responded to a call of shots fired at Venice Boulevard and Normandie Avenue in Harvard Heights. When officers arrived, they found a victim on the ground who had been struck by multiple gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.

The investigation revealed that the victim was walking into a parking lot when he had a dispute with an unidentified female. A suspect approached on foot and fired numerous shots, striking the victim. The suspect then pistol whipped a second victim who had been walking with the first victim. The suspect walked away from the location, along with the female and an additional male Black.

The suspect is described as a male Black, 35-40 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a black shirt and black pants.

The adult victim has not been identified.
