Robbery Suspect Captured on Cell Phone Video NR18068ti

Venice: The Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Area, Robbery Detectives are seeking the public's help with identifying a robbery suspect whose image was caught on cell phone video.

On February 28, 2018, the victim was seated on a bus bench near the area of Main Street just north of Venice Way.

The suspect approached the bus bench and asked the victim if he had change for a $10 bill. The victim pulled out his wallet and the suspect lunged at the victim, grabbing his wallet. As the victim attempted to stop the suspect, both the victim and suspect ended up on the ground. The suspect began to strike the victim numerous times on his head and upper body. The suspect fled on foot with the victim's wallet.

The suspect is described as a 20 to 25-year-old male Black, standing between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing between 160 to 180 pounds.
