Traffic Collision Claims Life of Pedestrian

Reseda: Area: On April 9, 2018, approximately 10:15 a.m. a traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Sherman Way and Etiwanda Avenue. A 2012 Ford F-350 Pick-up truck, driven by Farhad Partovi, a 57-year old resident of Encino, was negotiating a left turn from southbound Etiwanda Avenue to eastbound Sherman Way collided with an 83-year-old pedestrian identified as Ik Sun Lim, a resident of Van Nuys, crossing Sherman Way in a southbound direction.

The pedestrian sustained major head trauma and was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel to a local hospital for medical treatment. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at 4:56 p.m.
