The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Hollenbeck Area will launch our much-anticipated Volunteer Community Patrol (VCP).

DETAILS:
The mission of the Hollenbeck Volunteer Community Patrol Program is to assist LAPD in reducing crime by providing high visible policing in high crime areas within the LAPD Hollenbeck Area. The frequency of patrols, locations, days, and times will vary based upon the needs of the LAPD. Participation by the VCP serves to increase LAPD patrol presence in community areas to improve the quality of life such as acting as a deterrent or reporting incidents in the community. Each of the Volunteers must pass a background screening process and complete training in the following areas prior to joining the program.

  • Vehicle operations
  • Slow speed driving/backing
  • Radio Procedures and Penal Codes
  • Duties and Responsibilities
