The Altima collided with the rear end of a 2007 Ford Fusion, rolled over, and went airborne into the eastbound lanes of Imperial Highway. The driver of the Altima and her passenger were ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. The Altima then collided with a 2003 Honda Accord travelling eastbound Imperial Highway. The driver and passenger of the Altima, along with the driver of the Accord died at scene. The driver of the Fusion was not injured.

This tragic incident is just one of over a dozen fatal traffic collisions that have occurred since the beginning of May 2020. With fatal traffic collisions on the rise throughout the City of Los Angeles, the overall purpose of this new conference is to have a discussion on traffic and pedestrian safety.
