Tattoo May Help to Identify Victim

WHY:
On September 11, 2008, at around 7:00 a.m., an unknown female engulfed in flames. Los Angeles City Fire personnel responded to the location, but the woman who was severely burned was pronounced dead at scene.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the victim and for any information that might assist them in determining a motive or leading to a suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Newton Area Homicide Detectives Richard Arciniega or Meghan Aguilar at 323-846-5363. After hours or on weekends, calls may be directed to a 24-hour, toll-free number at 1-877-LAWFULL (529-3855) or by texting CRIMES (274637) and beginning the message with the letters LAPD. Tipsters may also submit information on the LAPD website, www.lapdonline.org. Tips may remain anonymous.
