Multi-victim Shooting in North Hollywood Left One Dead NR18054tk

North Hollywood: Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau are asking for the public’s help in providing information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects responsible for a multi-victim shooting that resulted in the murder of a 19-year-old man and injuries to a 23-year-old man.

On February 14, 2018, around 5:55 PM, Los Angeles Police Department North Hollywood patrol officers received a radio call of an “Assault With A Deadly Weapon Shooting Just Occurred” at the 11600 block of Sylvan Street in the City of North Hollywood.

Upon arrival, officers located two victims down on the street suffering from gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the two victims to local area hospitals.

Victim-1 died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Victim-2 is currently listed in serious, but stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that on February 14, 2018, around 5:45 PM, Suspect-1 exited a vehicle and walked up to the victims, who were standing on the sidewalk. Suspect-1 identified himself as a gang member, produced a handgun, and fired numerous shots at victims. Suspect-1 immediately fled in an awaiting vehicle.

Victim-1 is a 19-year-old male Hispanic and resident of the City of Pacoima. His identity has not been released pending notification of family.

Victim-2 is a 23-year-old male Hispanic and resident of North Hollywood. His identity is not being released.
