Kidnap/Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested

WHY:
Northeast Sex Crime Detectives will be announcing the arrest of a suspect whom they believe is responsible for a sexual assault that occurred in July, 2008.

On July 26, 2008, at around 5:30 a.m., a 23-year old woman was kidnapped from a bus stop at the corner of Colorado and Eagle Rock Boulevards. The suspect forced the woman into his car and drove her to a secluded area. The suspect then sexually assaulted the victim, took her property and drove off.

Detectives continued their investigation and upon identifying the suspect, he was taken into custody in the afternoon of August 28, 2008.
