WHY:   
The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 42 police officers and one Lateral officer, with 36 males and six females.  The ethnic breakdown of the class is as follows: 13 Caucasians, 23 Hispanics, two African Americans, two Koreans, one Filipino and one other Asian. Graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks. Among the graduates are two officers for the Los Angeles World Airports Police Department.
