6th Annual Officer Appreciation Day

"6th Annual Officer Appreciation Day"

What:
6th Annual Officer Appreciation Day

When:
November 22, 2002, 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where:
77th Street Community Police Station, 7600 South Broadway, Los Angeles

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Area Community Police Station will be hosting the 6th Annual Officer Appreciation Day. This is the community’s way of showing the officers assigned in the 77th Street Area as well as the California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

The community members will be decorating the station with blue ribbons and balloons to show support. A spectacular barbecue will be served to all officers and civilian employees.

This event has been a great morale booster to all officers throughout the last six years and a chance to the community members to meet with officers who protect and serve them day in and day out.

For further information contact Officer Ted McHenry, 77th Street Area Community Relations Officer, at 213-485-4285.

This media advisory was prepared by Public Information Officer Jason Lee, Media Relations Section, 213-485-3586.
