Homicide Investigation

 

 

 

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at 2:35 a.m., victim Barak Manteghi, 41 years old, was sitting alone in his vehicle in the 19000 block of Parthenia Street in the City of Northridge when he was shot twice in the upper torso. The victim then drove his vehicle eastbound on Parthenia Street until he lost control of the vehicle and rolled it just east of Vanalden Avenue.

 

The victim was transported to Northridge Hospital where he underwent surgery. However, shortly thereafter the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

 

There is no suspect information at this time and it is undetermined if the shooting is gang related.
