Law Enforcement Community Conducts "Operation Enforcement"

 

Los Angeles: During the mid-morning hours of Thursday, November 22, 2002, The Los Angeles Police Department, in conjunction with law enforcement representatives from the Department of Corrections, California Highway Patrol, U.S. Marshals Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, concluded a second day of " Operation Enough " in the downtown Los Angeles Area. The purpose of the task force was to conduct compliance checks on a portion of the over two thousand estimated parolees living in the Skid Row area. The results of today’s operation are as follows:

  • Open Felony Charges 21
  • Felony Warrants 3
  • Open misdemeanor Charges 4
  • Misdemeanor Warrants 5
  • 3056 P.C. Arrest ( Violation of Parole) 44
  • Probation Violations 7
  • Traffic Citations Issued 10
  • Vehicle Impounds 3

The total number of physical arrests was 84. Of these arrests, over 50 percent were directly related to parole violations.
