November 29, 2007

What:
Blood drive

When:
November 29, 2007
9:00 A. M. – 4:00 P.M.

Where:
Parker Center (auditorium)
150 North Los Angeles Street
Los Angeles, CA 90012

Why:
A Narcotics Division officer is recovering from severe injuries after being struck by a suspect’s vehicle during a narcotic investigation on November 20, 2007.

The blood that is collected at the blood drive will benefit the officer and other needy patients at Kenneth Norris Cancer and USC Medical Center. “This is a wonderful way to give something back to the community and do something good at the same time,” said Patty Hunt, Blood Donor Manager. “Our Police Officers risk their lives daily to keep us safe. What better way for the community to say thank you to the many LAPD Officers, and the Police Department, by coming out in support the officer by donating blood.”

This time of year, blood donations are critically low. Area residents are encouraged to take time to save lives by donating blood.
