Two Arrested in Apparent Stabbing that Left One Dead NR14416sm

Koreatown: The Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide Detectives are investigating an apparent stabbing that left one man dead near Lafayette Park.

On Saturday, November 1, 2014, around 10:15 p.m., an unidentified male Black adult victim was found near 6th Street and Virgil Avenue. The victim suffered from visible stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Two suspects, later identified as 41-year-old, Arthur James Deblanc and 25-year-old, Sarah Wilson were located inside of Lafayette Park and detained after being identified by witnesses.

The detective’s investigation revealed the motive for this homicide was possibly a dispute between transients in the park. Deblanc and Wilson were booked for 187(A) PC-Homicide.
