Suspect Arrested in Koreatown Murder NR14418dm

Koreatown:  A 24-year-old man is booked for the early morning stabbing and murder of a Los Angeles resident in Koreatown.
 
On Wednesday, November 5, 2014, around 3:00 a.m., LAPD officers assigned to Olympic Division responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 200 block of Serrano Avenue.  When officers arrived, they found one victim, later identified as 32-year-old Los Angeles resident Luis David Lazcano, down in the street.   

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported Mr. Lazcano to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Several witnesses were identified and interviewed.  The information obtained, led investigators to 24-year-old East Los Angeles resident Miguel Gonzalo Jimenez Jr.  He was arrested in North Hollywood and booked for murder with bail set at $1,000,000.00.  

The investigation is ongoing.
