Driver Hits Pedestrian and Flees NR14451jr

Los Angeles: On November 17, 2014, around 10:30 p.m., 54 year old Carlos Cuellar was crossing westbound on Central Avenue, south of 23rd Street, and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound in the number 2 lane of Central Avenue. The driver sped from the scene and failed to stop and identify himself or render aid to Mr. Cuellar.   
According to witnesses, the suspect was driving an older model Honda Accord, black in color with 4 doors.  There was no description of the driver.  Cuellar suffered severe head and body trauma and was transported to LAC+USC Medical Center by LAFD paramedics.  He is listed in extreme critical condition.
