WHAT:The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division will conduct its third “Walk a Cop to School” program event.

WHEN: Thursday, November 10, 2016 7:00-7:15 a.m. Officers will pick up designated children from their homes.

WHERE: Loren Miller Elementary School 830 West 77th St Los Angeles, CA 90044

WHO: LAPD Captain II Lee Sands, South Traffic Division Commanding Officer Loren Miller Elementary School staff

WHY: LAPD 77th Division have worked in partnership with the staff at Loren Miller Elementary School. Officers will pick up children at their homes, and walk them to school. Officers will be discussing traffic safety tips and answering questions during their walk to school.

The program is being established as part of the continuing community outreach to improve traffic safety awareness for children and the community.

Media is encouraged to park in front of the school.

Media wanting to film officers knocking on the doors of children’s homes should meet at Loren Miller Elementary School at 7am.
