Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 21 year-old male.
On October 13, 2002 at approximately 2:15 a.m., Los Angeles resident, Roberto Diego Bautista, was approached by two male Hispanics in front of a residence located on the 5200 block of west Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The two suspects, who are suspected gang members, confronted Bautista and a 34 year-old male companion, and began to hit and kick them. Suddenly, one of the attackers pulled out a handgun and began shooting at the two victims. Bautista was hit by the gunfire and died at the scene. Bautista’s companion was not injured.
Fleeing on foot, the two suspects left the scene and no weapon was recovered.
