Arrival of Angels Flight and honors ceremony for LAPD Officer Joshua Cullins who was recently killed while on active military duty in Afghanistan.

VISUALS:
After the arrival of the aircraft, the Los Angeles City Fire Department will carry out the “Vail of Tears,” a ceremonial salute where the aircraft travels under plumes of water to complete a single archway marking the ultimate sacrifice made by Officer Cullins. Following the Vail of Tears, Honor Guards from the Los Angeles Police Department and United States Marine Corps. will pay tribute to Officer Cullins with a formal Honors Ceremony.

DIRECTIONS:
From Imperial Highway, travel northbound at Hughes Way toward LAX. Immediately turn left before the Korean Air Building.  Follow the fence line and travel westbound until the end of the road.

PARKING:
Media parking will only be permitted under the 105 Freeway, before the turn is made to Landmark Aviation.  After parking, media representatives are asked to walk toward LAX, through the green colored gates.  The media will then be escorted to the tarmac by Los Angeles World Airports Police Officers.

ADDITIONAL:
A media staging area with a clear line of sight of the honors ceremony will be established by the LAX Public Information Officers.  Per LAX Police, only LAPD/LASD Credentialed Media will be permitted.  No live feeds allowed.
