WHY:
To help decrease the incidence of juvenile delinquency by raising money to fund youth development programs that promote leadership, sportsmanship, education, and positive social development. The goal of the campaign is to raise $250,000 for HPAL’s 1- CUP Campaign that promotes programs and services to support 1,000 youth and their parents in providing them with resources and positive opportunities to make successful life choices.

The message of the 1 – CUP Campaign is that everyone can help prevent youth delinquency by pledging under $1 per day.  “By donating just the cost of a cup of your favorite premium coffee each week, $5 per week or $20 per month, you can sponsor a child and provide him or her with the valuable support and services that empower youth and help them succeed at achieving their goals,” said LAPD Chief Charlie Beck.
