A woman called the Police stating that a neighbor man had been stalking her for several months and was currently hiding in her back yard. Ofcr Klade responded and made contact with the suspect. Unfortunately the revolver miss fired further wounding Ofcr Klade. Seeing the Officers gun fail, the suspect returns and begins to stab Officer in the chest, neck and face. As Ofcr Klade lay severely injured the suspect clears the miss fired pistol and shoots Ofcr Klade in the head, killing him. Several Officers from the San Pedro station responded to citizens calls for help and together tracked the suspect to a near by residence.
