WHY:    
Members of the media are invited to cover the LAPD’s Rampart Division's 1st Annual basketball shootout and free throw contest.  This event is dedicated to the year of the youth and all ages can participate.  There will be static displays, giveaways, food, cash prizes and a trophy ceremony.  Registration deadline is May 8th and the cost per participant is $25, which includes lunch and a giveaway ticket.  Come out and support our youth.
