Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Chief of Police Chief William J. Bratton, along with other command staff, will conduct a formal divisional inspection of Rampart Area officers.
Rampart’s 350 police personnel provide service to about 375,000 inhabitants in a compact eight square mile area. With a population density similar to Manhattan Island, it is no secret that Rampart is one of the busiest police stations in the nation. The Rampart Community includes several well-known areas and landmarks such as Echo Park, MacArthur Park, The Ambassador Hotel and the Rampart Victorian Homes, and is under the jurisdiction of Central Bureau.
Following the inspection, Chief Bratton will attend the ceremony at the Rampart Community Police Activities League Youth Center (PALS) to announce their partnership with Court TV and Comcast. The event begins at 10:00 a.m., at 639 South Commonwealth Avenue, Los Angeles.
Anyone with questions regarding Rampart Area Community Police Station’s inspection is asked to call 213-485-4061.
