Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area Police Station will host a 9-11 dedication ceremony to honor the victims of 9-11.
Over nine months ago, a project to create a 9-11 Living Memorial and Media Center began. Over 30 organizations and businesses have donated over $50,000.00 in labor and material toward this project. The project consists of the rehabilitation of all the planters in front of the station, which span over 600 feet. Above the planters and next to the front of the station, an area, about 800 square feet, has been transformed into a Media Center. The focal point of this center is a 3"x 4" granite block, which has a collage of 9-11 pictures sandblasted in it.
The Los Angeles Police Department Honor Guard, a Bag Piper and local government dignitaries will be attending the event.
