September 2, 2004

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Detectives are investigating serial robberies.
On March 14, 2004, at about 2:00 a.m., two Hispanic women met and befriended two men at a nightclub near Florence Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard, in the City of Southgate. The women asked for a ride home and directed the men to 5400 block of La Mirada Avenue. When they arrived, a Hispanic man confronted the two men, armed with a handgun and proceeded to rob them. During the robbery, one of the men was shot, but he has since recovered. The gunman and two women drove away in a mid 80’s to early 90’s brown or dark colored Chevrolet Camaro or similar car with one white door.
On March 26, 2004, at about 2:00 a.m., the same two women met and befriended two different men at another nightclub near Florence Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard, in Southgate. The women asked for a ride home and directed the men to the area of Sunset Boulevard and Bronson Avenue. As they arrived, three male Hispanic gunmen confronted and robbed them at gunpoint. The gunmen and the women fled in an unknown direction.
Hollywood Robbery Detectives have been conducting the investigation. A photograph depicting the two women suspects was acquired, and the detectives are asking the public’s assistance in identifying them.
