Gala Ceremony to Be Hosted by News Anchor Chris Schauble

WHAT:
Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Chief Charlie Beck will present the Department’s highest honors to 42 recipients at the “Above & Beyond” Medal of Valor and Purple Heart Awards Ceremony.  This year’s master of ceremonies will be veteran KTLA news anchor Chris Schauble who will vividly narrate and bring to life this year’s stories of heroism.

To honor exceptional bravery and heroism demonstrated by LAPD officers

The Los Angeles Police Foundation (LAPF) is the proud host of the “Above & Beyond Ceremony.”  The LAPF involves prominent community leaders in funding LAPD youth programs, training, community outreach and equipment and technology not provided in the city budget. Support from event sponsors enables the LAPF to fulfill its mission of creating partnerships to provide resources and programs that help the police to serve at their highest level and to enhance LAPD community relations.
