WHY:   
The Vermont-Manchester Collaborative, in partnership with the Los Angeles Police Department, Operations-South Bureau, with support and participation of more than 50 community-based organizations, will sponsor a community march to remember/honor family members of homicide victims, bring public attention to the gang violence that has claimed the lives of many young men and promote peace in the community.  The march will also bring attention to the many needs of the community, such as quality education, job-opportunities, economic development and make an appeal for more city, county, state, and federal resources to address those needs.  All members of the public are invited to come out and support this important event.
