WHY: The Los Angeles Police Department and Chief Charlie Beck announces the partnership with the Los Angeles Sheriff Department’s adoption of the iWATCHLA community terrorism reporting initiative extending iWATCHLA throughout the Los Angeles region. They will announce the public and private partnership of the LAPD with the business community in advertising the iWATCHLA initiative and particularly advertising the LAPDs launch of an iWATCHLA APP. They will thank local business partners including Clear Channel and USC.

iWATCHLA is the Counter-Terrorism and Special Operations Bureau’s community reporting initiative that provides education about what types of activities and behavior to report and an easy way for community reporting by app, phone or web.
