The written tests for the LAPD is offered several times a week.The test is free and you do not need to sign up in advance. Before you go, you must first fill out the online Preliminary Background Application and Job Preliminary Questionnaire. Please plan to be at the test site for at least 3 1/2 hrs. NOTE: Effective Saturday, July 12, 2003, Saturday testing will no longer be held at the Police Academy.
