"Deadly Car Wash Party"
 

Los Angeles: On Saturday, May 10, 2003 at approximately 11:30 p.m., 19 year-old Darryl Wayne Ficklin was attending a party being held at a car wash located in the 5100 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in Los Angeles.
During the party, Ficklin became involved in a physical altercation with another male at the scene, which resulted in Ficklin being shot once in the torso. Following the shooting, the suspect fled in his late model red Chevrolet Camaro and Ficklin was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his gunshot wound.
The suspect is described as a male Black, 25 years of age, 5’8" to 5’10" tall, and a stocky build. No weapon was recovered. The shooting is being investigated as a gang related murder.
