"Argument Erupts in Gunfire – One Dies"
 
Los Angeles: Southwest Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of 28 year-old Eric Antoine Battle, a male Black and resident of Inglewood.
On Friday, April 25, 2003, at 2:10 a.m., the victim was standing outside a nightclub located in the 3500 block of south Figueroa Street when three male Black suspects approached him. An argument ensued between the victim and the suspects, at which time one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the victim.
Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
The motive for the shooting and the suspects’ identity have not been established at this time.
