Captain Ronald D. Eutsey will give a briefing to the media regarding the homicide of Marcell McMillon. It is expected that the family of victim McMillon will also be attending.

On Wednesday, October 20, 1999 at approximately 10:25 P.M., Marcell McMillon was visiting a friend in the area of 7th Avenue and Vernon Avenue. Three unidentified male, Black suspects approached on foot and began to talk with McMillon. The three and McMillon spoke as if they knew each other. One of the suspects drew a handgun and shot McMillon in the upper torso fatally wounding McMillon. The suspects fled the from the crime scene on foot.

The motive for this incident appears to be gang related. McMillon was not a gang member and he appears to be the innocent victim of gang violence. A composite drawing will be made available for suspect #1.
