LAPD Southwest Division Launches Mobile Application NR17174im

June 12, 2017

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department, Southwest Division is launching its mobile
application. This free application is available on the Apple Store
and Google Play. It was designed specifically to inform the
community of special events and wanted suspects. It also allows
community members to provide crime tips, while remaining anonymous.
The application highlights the Mayor’s Vision Zero Action Plan,
which calls for a 20% reduction in traffic deaths by the end of
2017 and zero traffic related deaths by 2025. It also addresses
frequently asked questions such as how to obtain a crime report and
how to contact a Senior Lead Officer. The “LAPD Southwest Community
Application” was created to better serve the community while
identifying community concerns.

The application can also be accessed by typing “LAPD Southwest
Division” in the search field. For technical support please contact
Southwest Community Station at (213)485-2582.
