Suspects Arrested for San Fernando Valley Robberies NR17102lp

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division, Robbery Special Section, is investigating a series of business robberies that occurred in Van Nuys and Mission Division.

On April 13, 2017, around 10 p.m., Robbery-Homicide Division Detectives arrested Deshun Daniels and Nyla Phillips for the robbery of a local business in the 11200 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, in Mission Area. Daniels was observed fleeing from the location. During a subsequent foot pursuit, he discarded a firearm. Phillips was identified as the driver of the suspect vehicle. They were both taken into custody without further incident. Daniels and Philips are believed to be responsible for seven gas station and convenient store robberies in the Mission and Van Nuys areas. The series of robberies began on February 27, 2017. The last robbery occurred on April 13, 2017. Daniels is being held on a $400,000 bail. Phillips is being held on a $50,000 bail.
