Two Found Dead in Structure Fire

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department detectives are investigating the death of two people discovered burned to death as fire fighters battled a structure fire early this morning.

On August 16, 2008 officers from Wilshire Division responded to a request from Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) who had found two bodies burned to death in a structure fire in the 400 block of south Western Avenue. LAFD Arson Investigators suspected foul play and Wilshire Area Homicide detectives were notified. The two bodies found were a man and a woman. Detectives are awaiting positive identification of the decedents by the County Coroner’s Office.
