Detectives Seeking Additional Victims of Man Posing as Police Officer NR15200lp

June 11, 2015

Los Angeles: Detectives from the
Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division arrested
Daniel Rossman for impersonating a Police Officer.

On June 5, 2015, around 1:15 p.m., Daniel Rossman was driving a
Jeep Grand Cherokee with Massachusetts plates, and pulled alongside
a victim identifying himself as a “California State Police
Officer.” Rossman demanded that the victim pull over, placed his
vehicle in front of the victim’s vehicle, forcing the victim to
stop. The victim asked to see Rossman’s badge and he refused,
saying he would show his gun instead. Rossman then demanded $250
from the victim to avoid paying a fine.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims or witnesses and
are asking for the public’s assistance.
