Woman Sexually Assaulted During Home Invasion Robbery

On Saturday, October 2, 1999, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a 37 year-old female was sexually assaulted in her residence in the 5300 block of Lindley Avenue. The suspect entered the residence through an unlocked patio door and confronted the lone female victim. The suspect armed himself with a knife and the victim sustained two cuts from the weapon during the assault. The suspect took U.S. currency from the victim prior to leaving the location. The victim was treated and released from a local area hospital.

The suspect is described as a male, African-American, 6’2" tall, 200 pounds.

West Valley detectives are investigating the case and it does not appear to be related to a series of sexual assaults which have occurred in the San Fernando Valley area since March 1999.
